What Happened Versus What We Interpreted Happened

Suffering attaches itself to story.

Something happens, to me, and therefore, I am a victim. Right?

Something happens,
I have an experience of that something happening,
I then make the happening mean something about me, when really
I was just there, when, it happened.

With this distinction, experience is up to me, and
I am free from the happening, and
joy, peace, and love again become choices.
